A Fife woman who was caught driving while eight times over the drink-drive limit was already facing a drink-driving court case.
Irene Hopkins had been found slumped behind the wheel of her car near a primary school last summer when she was more than four times the limit.
Two women took the keys from her car on that occasion and officers, answering a report of a crash, found Hopkins surrounded by vomit and rambling incoherently.
She kept her licence at that time as she did not plead guilty to the offence until Monday, when she was to go to trial.
In the meantime, she had been seen repeatedly colliding with another vehicle as she tried to park outside a supermarket.
This time Hopkins was found to be eight times over the limit.
Hopkins, 52, from Ordnance Road, Crombie, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for the two offences.
She admitted that on June 17 last year in Farm Road, Crombie, she drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. Her reading was 95 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
She had previously admitted that on January 22 at Halbeath Retail Park, Dunfermline, she drove having consumed excess alcohol.
Her reading was 175 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said of the first offence that Hopkins had gone into a shop in Cairneyhill at around 2.45pm.
A staff member who knew her saw she was upset and took her to the back of the shop to speak to her.
“When the staff member spoke to her she could smell alcohol from the accused, who then asked to buy alcohol.
“This was refused and the accused said she would get it from elsewhere,” said the depute fiscal.
The woman followed Hopkins outside and tried to stop her getting into her car, but she drove off and bought a bottle of vodka from a shop in Crossford.
Staff there could also see she was upset, and Hopkins said she had lost her dog.
Ms Yousaf said police then received a report of a crash near the primary school in Crombie.
Police could find no sign of the crash but were told that two females had taken the keys from a car.
Officers found Hopkins “half-slumped into the passenger seat”, continued Ms Yousaf.
“There was a pile of vomit, she was incoherent and police officers couldn’t understand her.
“There was an almost finished bottle of vodka.”
The second incident occurred at the Asda car park at Halbeath Retail Park at around 5pm.
A woman parked her car and saw Hopkins try to manoeuvre her vehicle.
This resulted in the woman’s car being struck by Hopkins, and when she spoke to her she could smell alcohol.
Hopkins continued to try to park and again collided with the woman’s car.
The incident ended with the woman taking the keys from Hopkins car and the police were called.
Sheriff Chris Shead said Hopkins was facing custody, as a social work report said she was unfit to do unpaid work.
Defence solicitor Andrew Robb said his client was working as a cleaner. He said she had previously had a “chaotic lifestyle” because of alcohol.
Sheriff Shead delayed sentencing until March 16 for a GP report.
An interim driving ban is already in place.
