Fatal Fife crash probe sees police appeal to motorist

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a fatal road accident near Kincardine last month.
Road policing officers from Fife division are particularly keen to trace the driver of a 4×4.
The accident happened on the A907 Dunfermline to Alloa road at Bogside around noon on Wednesday November 13 and claimed the life of Steven McArthur, 30, from Kirkcaldy.
Police would like to trace the driver in the dark 4×4 pick-up, a Toyota Hilux or a similar vehicle, who stopped and spoke to a lorry driver near the scene.
Sergeant Andy Mather said: “This 4×4 driver may have been overtaken by Mr McArthur’s car, a silver Ford Mondeo, prior to the collision.”
He added police were appealing for that driver to get in touch by calling 101 so the investigation into “this tragic collision” can progress.
