It took half an hour for tickets for Frankie Boyle’s gig in Fife to sell out and even less for him to complete his set.
Fans were disappointed on Friday night when the comedian left the stage in Kelty and Blairadam Ex-Servicemen’s Club after just 20 minutes.
The controversial funnyman was being heckled and someone approached the stage shortly before he said farewell to the crowd of just 200 for the charity event and walked off.
Event organiser Stephen Barbour denied Boyle’s exit was down to an audience member and said he had delivered all his material.

He said: “He could have come on and done 20 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour. He gave up his time for the charity and that is what’s important.
“Everyone seemed to have a good night and Frankie enjoyed it. He thought the crowd was very responsive.”
However, fans took to Twitter after the A Night for CHAS show to vent their frustration and even apologise for the “bad experience” in Kelty of the former panellist of BBC’s Mock the Week and Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats, who bills himself as “quite a risky booking for a charity gig”.
