A man who insisted he had set up a covert camera to capture “paranormal activity” has been jailed after it instead recorded footage of a naked teenage girl drying off after a shower.
Fifer David Gilchrist filmed a child aged between 13 and 16 three times over a period of one and half years.
Police also found a stash of child abuse images stored on the 27 year-old’s computer.
Warehouse operative Gilchrist, of Dunfermline, was sent to prison for 14 months after a sheriff said: “You deliberately filmed this girl…which caused her consderable distress”.
Solicitor Gordon Martin said the accused had set up the cameras “because of paranormal activity”.
