The death of a Glenrothes youngster became a celebration of life as hundreds of people turned out for the funeral of tragic Logan Carrie.
Mourners turned out in bright colours and fancy dress at Leslie Baptist Church for the nine-year-old, who died earlier this month after being struck by a car on the A92 near Balfarg.
Dressed in Spiderman outfits and wearing jumpers adorned with pictures of Thomas the Tank Engine, friends and family of the identical twin packed the church located just miles from the family’s Cadham home.
Logan, a pupil at Pitcoudie Primary School, had been visiting a friend before making his way home just after 5.30pm on the evening of Tuesday 11 February.
Crossing the busy A92 he was struck by a car and died of his injuries soon after.
The local community united in grief following the shock death, with flowers, teddy bears and other tributes piling up outside the youngster’s school.
His mother, Sionaid Brown, described Logan as “cheeky”, adding “but he was a very sensitive soul.”
A keen contributor to charity, Logan’s funeral was used to collect donations in aid of Help for Heroes and Kingdom Kids.
Following the service he was laid to rest at a nearby cemetery.
