A Leven locomotive restoration charity is offering its very own “Polar Express” to take children on a magical train ride. Kirkland Railway Yard is dedicated to restoring heritage locomotives with the ultimate goal ofcreating a fully functioning attraction for Levenmouth. They have already restored two diesel engines and are working towards restoring a fully functioning steam locomotive. The charity is having a fundraising Santa train event on Sunday December 15 at its yard at Burnmill Industrial Estate, Burnmill Road, Leven. Committee member Ashleigh Urwin said: “We are reliant on fundraising events to be able to pursue our goals and continue to meet our objectives.” The train will run from 11-3pm, with adults free and children costing £10.
