Not just any jobs boost … new M&S store to open next month
ByThe Courier Reporter
Marks and Spencer has confirmed it will create 60 new jobs in Kirkcaldy when its new store opens next month.
The chain’s new food hall will open at the Fife Central Retail Park on Wednesday February 10 and will be opened by players and staff from Raith Rovers.
Though some fears have been expressed that the new outlet could jeopardise the retailer’s current store in the town centre, the company has repeatedly stated that it is committed to the Lang Toun’s traditional shopping precinct.
Anna Reekie, store manager, said: “This has been a much anticipated store for Kirkcaldy, and one which will complement our existing offer in the town centre.”
