A crowd of over 200 people gathered in Cowdenbeath this morning to see the opening of their new Aldi store. A golden ticket event was held to celebrate the arrival of the new store in Stenhouse Street. Store manager Lynsey Machray handed the first 100 a golden envelope, each containing a prize. They included a 32” TV, satnav, digital radios and bags full of shopping. Kelty man Billy Anderson won the TV star prize after lining up from 5am to be first in the queue. The new store has created 23 jobs in the area.
