WATCH: Dashcam footage shows driver’s near miss with van on notorious stretch of A92

A driver has said he is ‘thankful to be alive’ after a near miss with a van on a notorious stretch of road in Fife.

Gordon Blair has uploaded dashboard camera footage of him narrowly missing a blue Ford Transit that drew out in front of him across a crossroads on the A92 through Freuchie.

The incident happened just yards from a crash that claimed the life of an elderly lady a year ago.

The video has been viewed over 2,000 times after it was uploaded on to Facebook.

Mr Blair wrote: “Thankful to be alive as if I had been 10 seconds earlier at this junction I wouldn’t be here anymore as this blue transit would have wiped me out.

“The blue transit went through crossroads and a stop junction about 30mph from a 20mph. Just as well it was me driving.”
