A man is facing court accused of sending a “menacing” Facebook message to the wife of East Fife FC’s former director of football over allegations he was cheated out of a six-figure sum of money.
Ty Brown is alleged to have sent the message to Lesley McNeil, wife of Brian McNeil.
Prosecutors say it was “grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character”.
Brown is also alleged to have flouted a bail order banning him from contacting either Mr or Mrs McNeil by sending a text message to Mr McNeil.
Brown, 30, of Clermiston Grove, Edinburgh, did not enter a plea to one charge under the Communication Act and one of breaching bail at Dundee Sheriff Court and the case was continued.
