A woman broke down as she told a jury a Fife policeman sexually assaulted her.
Iain Reid, who is now retired, has gone on trial accused of offences of indecency against woman and girls in the 1980s.
He is also accused of abducting a child.
The incidents are said to have taken place over a 21-year period some of them in the police house in Buckhaven, where Reid, now 69, lived in the 80s.
It is alleged his victims were as young as three.
On the first day of a trial, expected to last five days, Falkirk Sheriff Court heard allegations from one woman that Reid, who now lives in Leven, “grabbed” her.
“He pinned me to the floor… and started gyrating on top of me,” the witness claimed.
