A 40-year-old Glenrothes man appeared on petition before a sheriff at Kirkcaldy on Tuesday charged with a drugs offence.
Neil Walkinshaw appeared in private under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 on charges that he possessed drugs with intent to supply.
Walkinshaw made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
The accused was bailed.
Police revealed earlier today that they had seized drugs with an estimated street value of £1,400 in Glenrothes.

Local Community Inspector Derek Paxton said: “Targeting individuals who deal drugs in our community is one of our priorities.
“I am pleased that we have been successful in removing a significant amount of harmful drugs from circulation in the community on this occasion and I can assure the people of Glenrothes that our drive to target people involved in drugs in the town is relentless.
“I would take this opportunity to remind the public that we do need their help to target the right individuals, and I would ask that if they have any information on drugs in their area that they contact Police Scotland on the 101 phone number or provide the information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
