Residents asked their opinion on Newport conservation area plan

Newport residents are being asked their opinions on the management plan prepared for their conservation area.

Fife Council has carried out a study of the special architectural and historic character of the area and has set out a management plan for its ongoing protection.

A copy of the draft plan is now available in the library and heritage centre in Scott Street and to download from www.fifedirect.org.uk.

Comments can be submitted online before August 17, while Fife Council staff will answer queries in the library and heritage centre on August 5, between 4pm and 6pm.

A final version will be taken to a future meeting of the northeast Fife area committee.
