Speed cameras to be deployed between Burntisland and Kinghorn

Cameras will be deployed on a road between Burntisland and Kinghorn in response to concerns about speeding.
The B923 Kinghorn Loch road has a 40mph speed restriction but residents say drivers exceed the limit and fear for the safety of cyclists and walkers.
Andy Jones, manager of Fife Safety Camera Partnership, warned drivers caught breaking the limit faced a £100 fine and at least three penalty points.
He said: “The road links the towns of Burntisland and Kinghorn and there is a core path network within the area so several types of road users will make use of the road and paths including cyclists and pedestrians.”
“Drivers should note that the 40mph speed restriction is a maximum and not a target and lower speeds may be more appropriate at times.”
