A teenage boy in hospital after being hit by car in Buckhaven

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Buckhaven.
The 15-year-old suffered head injuries in the collision which took place in Kinnear Street at 5.40pm on Thursday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and advising motorists to avoid the area.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police in Fife were called to Kinnear Street, Buckhaven, at around 5.40pm on Thursday 19 November following a report of a road traffic collision involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian. A 15-year-old boy has been taken to Victoria Hospital with head injuries.
“The road is currently closed from the top of Wellesley Road to Church Street to allow emergency services access, and members of the public are advised to seek alternate routes at this time.
“Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
UPDATE: The boy is expected to be released from hospital on Friday.
