Missing Allan Bryant: Father asks to be kept updated on Lunan Bay bone find
ByJonathan Watson
The father of a missing Fife man is seeking answers from police over the discovery of a human bone on an Angus beach.
Allan Bryant says he has contacted police in the region seeking updates on the identification of a bone fragment discovered at Lunan Bay on Wednesday.
His son, Allan Jr, has not been seen since he disappeared following a night out with friends in Glenrothes on November 3 2013.
Despite a high-profile search, there remains no trace of the young man, who would now be 25.
Previous discoveries of human remains in Fife have seen the Bryant family alerted by police as a routine measure.
Howerver, Mr Bryant said he contacted officers in Angus following last week’s discovery.
Reiterating his belief that foul play may have accounted for his son’s disappearance, he told The Courier: “We’ve just got to check up on these things.
“The weather has been really bad recently and if Allan has been put in water then there’s always the possibility that it could be him.
“It has to be someone and with all of the bad weather recently I just have to check up.”
