A Kelty man caused a drunken disturbance in a takeaway food shop and punched another customer, a court has heard.
Deane Hunter, 22, of Blairadam Crescent, admitted that on March 21 at the Caspian Takeaway, Main Street, Kelty, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly shouting and swearing and punching a member of the public on the head.
Depute fiscal Louise Ward said the incident occurred after Hunter went into the shop at 9.20pm, ordered food and paid for it, but soon demanded to know where his order was.
An unknown male customer came into the shop and asked Hunter to stop swearing at the workers, but Hunter started shouting and swearing at him before punching him in the face.
Defence solicitor Danielle Varela described it as a “rather unsavoury incident” and Sheriff Craig McSherry fined Hunter £500.
