A man who coerced a woman into having filmed hotel liaisons with a stranger then sent the video to the victim’s sister as her family sat down to Christmas dinner is facing years in jail.
Clive Weatherhogg, 42, of Balmalcolm, by Cupar, set up a series of encounters for the woman and Edward Amobi, who he found through a website, over the course of a year.
Weatherhogg later sent a seedy video to the victim’s sister on December 25 2014.
The jury took 95 minutes after a five-day trial to find him guilty of coercing the woman into having sex with Mr Amobi and sending the “revenge porn” video.
At Dundee Sheriff Court he admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
Sheriff George Way deferred sentence until next month for reports and released Weatherhogg on bail meantime.
He said: “He has to understand that the maximum sentence for the coercion charge is life imprisonment.”
