Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following a report of public indecency in Cowdenbeath.
The incident happened around midday on Friday, November 6, in woodland to the south of Hill of Beath behind the B981 known locally as the North Road.
Two women were walking their dogs on a footpath heading west towards Hill of Beath when they noticed a man standing slightly off the track with his trousers down and performing an indecent act.
The women managed to walk past without him noticing and he was seen leaving the area walking east in the direction of Broad Street before being lost from sight.
An investigation is now underway in an effort to trace the unknown male.
He is described as in his 60s, of slim build and around 6ft tall.
He had been wearing a brown-coloured cowboy hat, glasses, green jacket, stonewash denim jeans with his socks folded over the top and hiking boots.
The male may also have had a golden retriever with him.
Chief Inspector Christopher Stones of Police Scotland said: “Both women were understandably shocked by this incident and we are very keen to trace this man as quickly possible.”
Anyone with further information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
