Two appliances from the town’s fire station on Dunnikier Road were despatched to the Room 2 outlet. The alarm was raised at 7.45pm after smoke was spotted coming from a store room at the rear of the building. Crews entered the premises wearing breathing apparatus and used two hose reels jets to extinguish the fire. The property was then secured and remained closed on Christmas Eve. Nobody from the store could be contacted for comment.
