Fire crews tackle blaze at Kirkcaldy industrial estate
ByCheryl Peebles
Firefighters have tackled a blaze in a Kirkcaldy industrial estate.
A rubbish fire at Randolph Transport, in Randolph Industrial Estate, created a large plume of smoke. But a spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was less serious than it first appeared.
She said the blaze was “controlled burning which had got out of control”. The alarm was raised by police at around 2.20pm on Tuesday.
One crew from Kirkcaldy Fire Station attended and the flames were extinguished by 3pm.
