A male motorcyclist has died in an accident in North East Fife.
The accident, which involved no other vehicle, happened on the A91 between Collessie and Auchtermuchty at around 11.25am.
The westbound motorcyclist was riding a Yamaha that left the road around a mile east of Auchtermuchty and collided with a tree.
Police closed the A91 to eastbound traffic in the centre of Auchtermuchty and to westbound traffic at Collessie as emergency services attended the scene.
Diversions were in operation via Dunshalt, Collessie and at the New Inn roundabout on the A92.
Police said the road was likely to remain closed for some time.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to phone 101.
