The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a friendly cockatiel found in Lochgelly.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was called to rescue the green and orange bird last Thursday after he was spotted on Ivanhoe Avenue.
He is being cared for at the SSPCA’s Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, where staff have named him Sparky.
Centre assistant manager Kenny Sharpe said: “Sparky is a lovely little guy, in fact he’s the friendliest cockatiel we’ve had here in a long time.
“He’ll happily sit on your shoulder or hand and he seems to really enjoy being around people.
“Sparky has some bruising and a small bald patch under one of his wings, which we think may be a result of him feather plucking due to stress when he was straying.
“We’d like to think that someone is missing Sparky and it would be great to return him home.”
Anyone who recognises Sparky is being asked to call the animal hotline on 03000 999999.
