A Fife woman pranged her car in the early hours of the morning when almost four times over the drink drive limit.
Leah McEwan, 29, of Keltyhill Avenue, Kelty, admitted that on January 10 on Beechbank Crescent, Kelty, she drove having consumed excess alcohol.
Her reading was 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 22 microgrammes.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, depute fiscal Claire Crompton said that around 2.25am police were called to the scene of a road traffic collision.
They came across McEwan who appeared to be intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol.
She told police: “I’ve crashed it but I don’t know where.”
McEwan had an similar conviction from 2006, the court was told.
Defence agent Sarah Meehan said her client had spent the evening at home with a friend and they had been consuming alcohol.
When her partner had returned home later there had been an argument and she “very foolishly made the decision to jump into her vehicle” to go to the friend’s house.
On the way there was a collision with no other vehicle involved, said the solicitor.
“This is a matter that has caused her great distress,” added Ms Meehan.
Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a community payback order with 200 hours of unpaid work and disqualified McEwan for three years.
