She was taken to Ninewells in Dundee as a precaution following the incident, which occurred between New Inn and Freuchie just after 8.30am. A Volkswagen Beetle, BMW 3-series, Audi A1 and Renault Megane were all involved, with one vehicle reported to have landed in a nearby field. Two ambulances were called to the scene with additional medics onboard, due to the number of vehicles involved. Following assessment, the other three drivers were described as “walking wounded” by ambulance staff. The northbound carriageway was blocked while emergency services attended the scene but the route was re-opened shortly before 10am.
