Police were called to an incident in Tolbooth Street at around 11pm following reports of an “altercation”. A 60-year-old man sustained a head injury and was taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital. He was said on Sunday to be in serious but stable condition. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged and will appear at Kirckcaldy Sheriff Court.”
