Budding David Hasselhoffs and Pamela Andersons are being invited to apply for “Fife’s best summer job”.
The RNLI is looking for hardy souls to look out their orange swimwear and provide lifeguard cover at four beaches this summer.
Cover is required at the East Sands in St Andrews, Leven, Burntisland and Aberdour Silver Sands.
Last year RNLI lifeguards across the UK dealt with more than 17,000 incidents, rescuing 1,769 people and saving 92 people’s lives.
Successful applicants will receive training but are required to have a good level of fitness.
David Gorman, RNLI lifeguard manager, said: “Being a beach lifeguard is not only Fife’s best summer job it’s got to be Britain’s best summer job as well. The beach is your office.
“Lifeguards come from all walks of life, including teachers, business owners and gap year travellers, but we do recruit a lot of students and college pupils because it’s a seasonal job.”
