A man has been rushed to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital after a serious two vehicle collision between Dalgety Bay and Kirkcaldy.
The incident, which is understood to have involved a car and a lorry, happened shortly after 8pm on the B9157 Orrock Quarry road between Bernard’s Smithy and East Balbairdie, near Balmule Farm.
Emergency services attended and firefighters had to cut the car driver free from his vehicle before he could be treated by paramedics.
The driver of the other vehicle is not thought to have been seriously hurt and did not require hospital treatment.
Two fire crews from Dunfermline and one from Burntisland were called out to deal with the incident, while police also blocked off the road for a short time.
