Drugs raid nets “significant” amount of cannabis in Buckhaven

A Fife man has been reported to the procurator fiscal after a drugs raid in Buckhaven.

Officers based in Levenmouth recovered what was described as a “significant amount” of cannabis in Victoria Road on Monday.

A 21-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act and will be reported to the procurator fiscal.

Community Sergeant Robert Gassner said: “I would like to thank the public for their help in keeping the police aware of what is happening in the community.

“The growing of these plants in homes can prove hazardous and as such any information regarding this activity is acted upon as swiftly as possible.”
