A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Fife man Duncan Banks.
Police Scotland confirmed a man was arrested and charged in connection with the death of the Dunfermline 39-year-old, who was found dead on Monday September 28.
The man is expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Mr Banks’ death in the town’s Abbeyview area was the subject of an inquiry led by detectives from the Major Investigation Team (MIT).
A public appeal was issued for witnesses with Mr Banks’ family paying tribute to a beloved son with “a heart of gold”.
In a statement issued through police they described him as a “beloved son and a much-loved brother and uncle”.
