British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace as they investigate an assault on a train heading to Fife last month.
BTP said it is believed the man may be able to help with investigations into the assault on a 53-year-old woman on a train shortly before it arrived at Dalmeny station on Saturday October 3.
The incident occurred on the 9.48pm Edinburgh Waverley to Perth service.
The man in the photograph is described as being aged in his mid-30s, about 5ft 8in, with brown hair and a beard.
He was possibly wearing dark-rimmed glasses and a brown jacket.
The man got off the train along with another man at Dalmeny station.
Constable David Ferguson said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man shown in the photograph to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040 or by texting 61016.
