The final phase of a scheme to build extra parking spaces at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy has been completed.
Car park F, which will open on Monday, lies on the western side of the hospital campus.
It can be accessed from Lauder Road.
A total of 117 additional spaces have been built, including three blue badge spaces located nearest to the main hospital buildings.
The latest phase of developments build upon works completed last year, which saw the parking spaces at the hospital increase by 198 spaces.
The completion of this latest car park has ensured that NHS Fife has fully complied with planning conditions for the completion of the new wing of the hospital, which opened in 2012.
Work started in the early part of 2014 with the demolition of the old college buildings on the site.
This resulted in changes to the access roads around the Victoria hospice, diabetes centre and the dental access centre.
NHS Fife’s director of estates, facilities and capital services Jim Leiper said the completion of this car park should help to improve parking options around the hospital site.
“The addition of blue badge spaces will also provide greater ease of access for those patients who need it most,” he added.
“We have worked hard to ensure that the works have caused minimal disruption to patients and visitors, and I would like offer my thanks for the patience shown throughout the duration of the works.”
