Thieves have taken a Shetland pony sculpture worth £1,500 from a garden in Freuchie.
The large ornamental piece was stolen from a property in High Street between 9am on Friday December 20 and 9.30am on Christmas day.
Police are investigating the theft and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
Inspector Roy Giles said: “The sculpture is very large and weighs around 40kg so it would have taken at least two people to remove it from the garden.
“It would also, most likely, have been taken away in a vehicle. As such, anyone who remembers seeing the occupants of a van or truck acting suspiciously in the area between December 20 and 25 is asked to contact police immediately.
“In addition, members of the public and scrap metal dealers are asked to be vigilant for anyone attempting to sell on the structure and get in touch with us if they know of anyone trying to do so.”
Anyone with information that could assist officers is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
