This year, St Andrews hosts the annual event one of Europe’s oldest markets from Friday August 9 to Tuesday August 13.
During the event, there will be a funfair and continental market on Market Street from 11am-11pm daily, while on August 12 and 13, there will also be market traders and a funfair on South Street from 11am-midnight on the first day and 11am-11pm on the second.
Fife Council’s parks and community officer Keith Jackson said: “Whether you are five or 105, the Lammas Market has something for all ages.
“There will be funfair rides, market stalls, food and drink and a new continental market to attract visitors.
“We have been working closely with the Merchants Association this year and I would like to stress that despite the road closures, the retailers will be operating as normal, with shops open for business during their normal operating hours.
“The Lammas Market is one of Europe’s oldest medieval markets and is well worth the visit.”
