Elderly woman dies in accident with council van in Dalgety Bay

An elderly woman died following a road traffic accident in Dalgety Bay on Thursday morning.
The woman, who has not been named, died after being involved in a collision with a white Fife Council van in Moray Way North, around 10.30am.
Officers from Fife Division of Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Inspector Brenda Sinclair, who is in charge of the Road Policing Unit attached to Fife Division, said: “Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed this tragic accident, or saw the van involved immediately prior to the collision, is asked to come forward.
“We are carrying out a full investigation into the cause of the accident. All local roads have now been reopened.
