The father of missing Allan Bryant Jr says that he is struggling to sleep after another chilling video was posted on the Facebook page established to find his son.
The four-minute long video, claimed to be from the global hacktivist group Anonymous, is directed towards “Allan Bryant Jr’s murderers”, calling on those responsible to give themselves up.
It follows a similar video posted at the weekend, warning Police Scotland that it must do more in the hunt for the missing 25-year-old.
His father, also named Allan, said that this latest video had been particularly distressing.
“I don’t know who is behind this but it is obviously someone with a grudge against the police,” he told The Courier.
“It’s not helping us, it’s just causing us more heartache.
“Myself, Marie and my daughter watched it together and we were just shaking.
“I’ve not been able to sleep properly because of it.”
Allan Jr was 23 when he disappeared after a night out with friends on
November 3 2013.
He had been at Styx Nightclub on Caskieberran Road, with CCTV footage showing him leaving the venue in the early hours of the morning.
High-profile appeals have been made by both his family and the police, while searches have been conducted throughout the town and across Fife.
There is still no trace of Allan Jr, who would now be 25.
While Police Scotland has always maintained that there is no evidence of foul play in the disappearance of Allan Jr, the chilling video is directed at people its makers believe to be involved in what they call the “murder” of the young man.
Threatening to examine and release email, text and social media data of those believed to be responsible, the distorted voice in the video states: “We do not tolerate injustice.
“There are no words for what you have all put Allan Bryant Jr’s family through.
“It can all end by you contacting them or contacting us.
“It is better you do it now than having us spreading through every part of your life and family’s life.”
