Police have confirmed that a body was found at the cliff area of The Scores following a search for American Kieran McCann. He was last seen at The Vic in the early hours of Wednesday morning, where he had been out with friends. Although police have not confirmed whether or not the body is that of Mr McCann, it is understood that the search for the student has been halted. A statement said: “Police in Fife can confirm that the body of a man has been found on the beach at St Andrews this afternoon. “Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances.” For the latest, see Friday’s Courier.
