Minorities group chairman pleads guilty to embezzling £2,400

The chairman of an ethnic minorities group admitted embezzling more than £2,000 from its funds when he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Charles Chingwalu, 50, of Old Mill Court, Dunfermline, admitted that between May 17 2012 and January 31 2013, while acting in the capacity of chairman of the Ethnic Minority Civic Congress group, he embezzled £2,400.
Sentence was deferred until next month for a social work report.
On the Ethnic Minority Civic Congress website, Chingwalu is listed as a member of the management committee.
The group describes itself as “a membership platform for ethnic minority representation in Scotland. It meets regularly to discuss issues and is in contact with the Scottish Government.
