Fife’s reputation as a golf destination was a major attraction for buyers at the VisitScotland Expo in Glasgow.
Liam Barn, Fife Golf Partnership manager, saw travel companies from Scandinavia, France, Italy, Spain, India and Russia. Others on the Fife stand also saw many international travel reps from similar countries.
The Fife stand won the best stand of the exhibition award.
Mr Barn was accompanied by representatives from the Fairmont St Andrews, previously winners of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators European Golf Resort award, and Scotland Golf Tours.
He said: “Fife has a worldwide reputation for golf but we need to keep reaching new visitors and exploring new markets. There are an estimated seven million golfers in Europe alone.
“With 47 golf courses, including links and parkland, Fife offers something for every golfer.
“The range of hotels and accommodation plus other visitor attractions results in significant associated business benefits across the kingdom.”
