VIDEO: Union of South Africa steam locomotive passes through Dundee station

A historic locomotive thrilled rail buffs on Wednesday as it steamed its way through Courier Country.
The puffing 1937 Union of South Africa loco made its way from Aberdeen and through Laurencekirk, Montrose, Arbroath and Carnoustie to Dundee.
Railway enthusiasts got the thrill of seeing the classic steam train pass through Dundee station at 5.40pm and make its way across the rail bridge to Fife.

They flocked to get a vantage point as it passed through Leuchars, Ladybank, Thornton, Kirkcaldy and Inverkeithing on its way back to Edinburgh.
Passengers who paid up to £175-a-head left Edinburgh just after 10am and were hauled by two puffing Black Vs, 45407 and 44871.

They spent a few hours in the Granite City before being taken home by the legendary 60009 Union of South Africa over the Tay and Forth Bridges.
