ByMichael Alexander
Police in Dunfermline are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of local man David Whitfield, who was reported missing last Monday.
The 51-year-old has not been seen at his Campbell Street home for some time.
Mr Whitfield, who has strong links with the Aberdeen area, is described as 5ft 10in, and of medium to stocky build with short dark brown hair.
Sergeant Kirk Donnelly, who is leading the inquiry said: “David is local and has a place of residence in Dunfermline however has strong links to the Aberdeen area where he has previously worked and resided.
“I would ask anyone including David’s friends and colleagues who may know his current whereabouts, or who has seen David recently, to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
Mr Whitfield is known to drive a silver Ford Mondeo.
