A pensioner crashed into a lamppost and five parked cars when he fell ill at the wheel of his car in Cupar this morning.
The accident happened in the town’s busy Crossgate at around 9.30am.
The 85-year-old was taken to hospital. It is understood his condition is not serious.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Fife attended a road traffic collision on Crossgate, Cupar, after an 85-year-old driver apparently fell ill.
“His silver Vauxhall Meriva collided with a lamppost and five parked cars at around 9.30am this morning. No other person was injured.
“The driver has been taken to Adamson Hospital, Cupar. However his condition is not believed to be serious.
