Marion Hannah (73) was found slumped at the wheel early on Saturday morning. She had only managed to drive a short distance from her Blair Drive home to Robertson Road. It is believed she had taken ill and tried to make her way to Queen Margaret Hospital at about 6am. Her red Fiat hit a stationary vehicle parked in the street. Police said the collision was low-impact and would not have caused her death. Mrs Hannah’s granddaughter, Amy Oliver (24), of Rosyth, said she wanted to thank whoever raised the alarm. She said: “I want to know who reported it. I want to thank them because whoever it was at least they gave her a chance to be saved. “If somebody hadn’t called, she might have been sat there a long time. “There aren’t a lot of people out early on a Saturday morning. I’m really happy that somebody did try and help. “She’d basically got out of bed, put on her clothes and got in the car to try and get to hospital. She’s obviously not made it there. “We were very close. My mum passed away seven years ago and since then we always stuck together.”
