A body has been found near the home of a Fife woman who went missing at the weekend.
It is understood a photographer discovered the body in the Fordell Estate, Hillend, while taking pictures in the area.
Fife Constabulary have not released any further details.
An appeal was launched this morning after local woman Rachel Adams went missing from her home, just yards away.
The 47-year-old mother had gone out jogging at 10am on Sunday and had not been seen since.
When last seen she was wearing black running leggings, a bright blue winter running jacket and white trainers. She left her house carrying her iPod.
Superintendent Andy Edmonston, who is leading the search for Rachel, said: “Rachel’s family are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety. I would ask anyone with any knowledge of her whereabouts, or anyone who may have seen her out running today to contact Fife Police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information can contact Fife Police on 101, or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
