TWO LARGE wind turbines could be installed on a hillside near Kingskettle.
Livos Energy has unveiled plans for the 100-metre structures at Rameldry Farm, 2.5km east of the village.
The site is close to Clatto Hill, where two bids to put 10 turbines were rejected by a Scottish Government reporter.
Livos Energy has lodged its plan with Fife Council, seeking feedback on the information the local authority requires.
In partnership with the landowner, it intends to submit a planning application in the latter half of the year and, if given the go-ahead, begin construction in 2014.
It said the small windfarm would produce five megawatts of power.
The company claims the site is not a sensitive one but intends to conduct assessments of landscape and visual assessment, wildlife habitats and shadow flicker.
A series of meetings and a public event are planned to consult with neighbouring residents and community councils, and written consultation is to be undertaken.
A campaign was waged against the proposed Clatto Hill turbines.
