Police confirmed that they had been called to the scene on the A916 road near Craigrothie around lunchtime. Initial reports indicated that one person has died and another was injured. The accident involved a car and a heavy goods vehicle. The road has been closed between Union Farm on the C59 Craigrothie to Kennoway road. Weather conditions were very poor in the area at the time. No other information was available. It is the second road tragedy in the Cupar area in as many weeks.
