Police investigating report of sex attack in Cupar

Police are investigating a report of an attack in Cupar, believed to have been a sexual assault on a teenage girl.

An area in the town’s Bishopgate Park was taped off after the alleged incident on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police in Cupar are currently investigating, following a report of a possible assault at Bishopgate Park on Tuesday evening.

“Inquiries are ongoing and no further information is available at this stage.”
