Glenrothes fires: teenager charged and due in court

A man has been charged following a spate of suspicious fires in Glenrothes.

The 18-year-old is set to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, although police say they are still seeking a second man in connection with the incidents.

At least four fires have been reported in the South Parks and Warout areas of the town over the past two weeks, with numerous vehicles having been destroyed.

Police have deployed additional patrols in the area and have urged the public to remain vigilant.
