Firefighters from Glenrothes and Newburgh were dispatched to the blaze in the two-storey High Street property shortly after 2.30pm. The end-terrace house was substantially damaged but no people were injured. The blaze is being treated as suspicious and a forensic investigation is to be launched. Police were interviewing the man and indicated they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
