Fire crews tackled a major fire in the former Thomsons World of Furniture store in Dunfermline.
Police put diversions in place on the roads around the Bruce Street shop and warehouse to allow fire crews to tackle the blaze, which was well alight in the roof space of the empty building.
The fire was discovered at around 8.15pm last night, and crews from Dunfermline attended.
They were joined by fire fighters from other stations and fire crews were using two height appliances to fight the fire in the single storey building, which measures around 100 metres by 75 metres.
The building lies on Bruce Street and is surrounded by Winterthur Lane and an access road leading to local car parks fronting the neighbouring Carnegie Drive.
At the time of going to press, the service had eight appliances on the scene and in addition had two height appliances there.
The fire service were using two aerial monitors, a ground monitor and two main jets to fight the fire. Police and ambulance were also in attendance.
